Mosey Is Coming To Gather & Gourmet – Chief Taste Tester at Mosey’s Morsels!

Hi friends! I’m Mosey - a very good chocolate Labrador with an even better job. I’m the official Treat Boss at Mosey’s Morsels, and my story isn’t just about tasty snacks (although they are very tasty). It’s about love, purpose, and helping my hooman feel supported and strong.

My Job? Helping My Mum, Shannon

When my mum lost her own mum in 2023, she used a little inheritance to bring me home. Her dream had always been to adopt a Lab and train an assistance dog. That’s me! From the moment I arrived, we’ve been best mates. I was picked because I’m calm and clever - and clearly adorable.

Mum lives with Cerebral Palsy and has spent over 20 years helping others in her work. Now it was her turn to get some help, and I was ready to learn everything I could to be her paws-on support buddy.

From Kitchen Experiments to Crunchy Delights

Mum wanted to make sure I had only the best snacks, so she started cooking up air-dried artisan dog treats using real ingredients – human-safe, healthy, and delicious. (Yes, I’ve tried everything. I take quality control very seriously.)

Then she had this big-hearted idea… What if we sold the treats and used part of the money to help other assistance dogs like me? For every bag we sell, we donate 10¢ to charities, like the RSPCA, Guide Dogs, and WAAT Dogs. That’s how Mosey’s Morsels began - treats with heart, helping other pups and people just like us.

Why These Treats Are Special

Every single snack is made or dried by hand using real meat and dog-friendly ingredients, all packed up in recyclable bags (I love snacks and the planet).

We even had a pretty cool moment when a local politician bought some treats for their own pup and gave us a shoutout. Mum was so proud, and I wagged my tail for about an hour.

What We're Really Working Towards

Right now, our little business is part-time - but our goal is to grow enough to help fund assistance dogs for other people who need them. Training me changed Mum’s life. We want to make that kind of difference for more humans out there.

It's been a big learning curve for Mum. She’s had to figure out everything from admin, to building a website, to making beeswax wraps and paw balm. She’s done it all with me snoozing under the desk or supervising from the kitchen.

We’ll be at Gather & Gourmet on Saturday, 30 August 2025, serving up wholesome treats and wagging tails. Mum loves the event’s focus on creativity and local makers, and I love sniffing out all the action.
