Tradition Served Fresh at Gather & Gourmet

Discover delicious authentic flavours served fresh by local makers.

Gather & Gourmet isn’t just a market — it’s a place where food tells a story. With every sip and bite, you’re tasting someone’s heritage, their journey, and their passion. This month, we’re celebrating stallholders who are proudly sharing their culture through their handcrafted food and drink — from Moroccan sweets to Middle Eastern desserts, French pastries and Dutch treats.

Mazagan Sweets: A Moroccan Legacy in Every Bite

Mazagan Sweets is a celebration of Moroccan culinary tradition. With recipes passed down through generations, every treat is steeped in heritage and made with love.

Their almond pastries and syrup-soaked delights are inspired by Morocco’s rich flavours and vibrant culture — perfect for those who appreciate sweets with a story behind them.

Jollie Macarons: French Elegance with a Local Twist

At Jollie Macarons, baking is both a science and an art. Founded by a former industrial chemist turned self-taught baker, this Perth-based business has grown from humble beginnings into a local favourite for beautiful, handcrafted macarons.

After moving to Perth in 2013, what began as sharing cakes with friends quickly evolved into a love affair with the delicate, elegant French macaron. Inspired by their beauty and challenge, she perfected her own recipe through trial, error, and unwavering dedication. Each macaron is made with care, using local ingredients and a deep passion for making life’s special moments a little sweeter.

K Factory: Middle Eastern Comfort with a Modern Twist

K Factory serves up authentic Middle Eastern desserts that can be customised to suit your cravings. From creamy almond Kashtuta topped with your choice of nuts and sauces, to their famous Loaded Kunafeh — every dish is crafted with care.

Their drinks are just as enticing: signature karak chai, saffron tea, iced hibiscus, and mango date smoothies. Plus, everything is Halal with low-carb, gluten-free and vegan options available, offering both tradition and inclusivity.

Café Oranje: Traditional Dutch Poffertjes, Fresh to Order

Bringing the charm of the Netherlands to Perth, Café Oranje specialises in fresh, fluffy Poffertjes — traditional Dutch mini pancakes cooked to order and topped with rich, homemade sauces.

Whether you’re after something sweet and nostalgic or just want to try a beloved Dutch classic, this is a must-stop for comfort food with culture at its heart.
